| We have about 1 3/4 miles of
the river, from the old railway bridge in Alloway to the sea.
We own both banks except at Mount Charles House which has
about 100 yards on one side.
There are 16 named pools and we divide the river into 2 beats
from the Mount Charles Dam up and down. Up tends to be a high
water beat and down tends to be a low water beat.
We fish both beats on rotation, this can either be a daily
or two daily rotation. The beat management decide which way
is best for your week dependant on water height and where
the fish are.
Rotation charts are available at the bothy. We fish 4 rods
in July and 8 rods throughout August, September and October. |
